Over the years, social media has sparked change in the way we communicate. It’s evolved the way we connect with each other, share information, and stay in touch—both personally and professionally.

Using Social Media to Connect Education Finance Professionals

One thing we’ve noticed is that many higher education professionals struggle with how best to incorporate social media in their profession in useful, purposeful, and meaningful ways. Sometimes it can be overwhelming trying to figure things out and connect the dots. That’s why ScholarNet has taken a step back from the social of today to try and create a more traditional social format—utilizing the technological advancements of today.

Building a Community for All of Us

What does that mean? In a word: Community. The point of social media is to be social—but in a digital universe. So many great things can be accomplished when we communicate with each other on a platform we trust to deliver our message correctly. While building MyScholarNet.com, Great Lakes recognized this sometimes forgotten purpose of social and has launched a new digital platform in a familiar place: LinkedIn.

All of our channels are used to connect with you, provide you with resources, and talk about the opportunities and challenges you face. We hope to create resources you will come to love. For that reason, we very much look forward to your feedback because we’re building these for you—for all of us!
